Medical School : Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv
Residency : Kaiser Permanent Family Practice
Other Training & Special Interests : I was born at St Johns hospital in 1970 and grew up in the Pacific Palisades. I graduated from Palisades High School and then attended Brown University. At Brown, I played football and majored in American Literature and American Civilization. Following Brown, I moved to Tel Aviv, Israel and attended the Sackler School of Medicine. I returned from Israel and did my residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills. I have always wanted to be a physician in the community in which I live. I want to contribute to the overall health of the community by providing medical care, including preventative medicine and care of chronic diseases, but also to encourage people to believe that the greatest benefits to their health come from the changes that they make themselves. I believe that keeping to a reasonable diet as well staying active both physically and mentally are the keys to longevity and health. My interests within Family Medicine include education, sports medicine, preventative medicine, as well as performing office based procedures. I have been an instructor for the UCLA School of Medicine for the past 4 years, instructing first, third and fourth year medical students in Family Medicine. My exams focus on acute problems as well as the prevention of future problems such as complications from obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes as well as actively screening for breast, cervical, and colon cancer. I perform many office based procedures as well as perform colonoscopies for SMBP. Outside of the office I enjoy camping, hiking, surfing, bodysurfing, skiing, and all types of physical fitness. I regularly exercise on the SMC track, do calisthenics at Santa Monica Beach, and the steps on 7th street so if you see me, say hello! I continue to read American Literature and enjoy cooking and spending time with my family at the beaches and parks in Southern California.
